Noah’s Ark Cares describes itself as the companion animal rescue and education society. It aims to make Singapore stray free by the year 2010 and strives towards this goal through active sterilization as well as micro-chipping and licensing of stray cats and dogs.

The society has 5 main projects:
Project Industrial Dogs plays a direct role in the society’s aim to reduce the number of stray dogs in Singapore. It involves both active sterilization and micro-chipping of the strays. Till today, the project has enabled more than 60 dogs to be sterilized and licensed.

Project Jalan Kayu and Noah’s Ark Cares Rescue take in animals which suffer from injuries inflicted upon them by humans. They tell stories of rescued animals which had been starved, abandoned and/or brutally abused.

Noah’s Ark Cares Humane Education Club is a program designed to be run by students for students. It aims to educate youth about respect, kindness and sensitivity towards animals.

Project Catsnip, just as its name sounds, is a program which aims to control the population of stray cats through sterilization, vaccination, micro-chipping and returning unadoptable cats to where they should belong.

The society also has a sanctuary for homeless animals named Noah’s Ark Natural Animal Sanctuary. It was relocated from Singapore to Pekan Nanas (Johor) in 2000. The sanctuary welcomes all animal-lovers. It can even arrange for transportation (a 10-seater mini van) on request. All you have to do is gather a group of 8 to 10 fellow animal-lovers and you’re on your way to NANA!
